Veronica Agard (Ifáṣadùn Fásanmí) (she/her) is a poet, writer, abọ̀rìṣà, community educator, and connector at the intersections of Black identity, wellness, representation, and culture. Through Ancestors in Training™, she inspires others to honor their roots, build intentional legacies, and envision brighter futures. Known for her warm, approachable presence, Veronica blends poetry, community care, and cultural identity into her work, fostering spaces for healing and transformation.
Her journey includes facilitating workshops, curating transformative experiences, and collaborating with organizations and institutions such as Black Feminist Future, Sadie Nash Leadership Project, and the Studio Museum of Harlem. With a digital presence that reaches tens of thousands, she weaves together vibrant visuals, meaningful conversations, and nature-inspired aesthetics to spark curiosity and connection. Veronica is a recipient of the Spring 2022 Reclamation Ventures Grant award for Healing Practices for Grief, a member of the Liberatory Wellness Network, and serves on the Board of Directors of IDHA NYC.
She is a visionary muse and multifaceted creative rooted in the power of ancestral healing and joyful storytelling. As a writer, Veronica's work has been featured on several podcasts and in media, including Black Joy, Connecting Through Circles, and Heritage Journal. From her soulful words to her upcoming projects, Veronica invites her audience to explore the intersections of resistance, community care, and legacy. A joy defender and space holder for over 10 years, she wants to be remembered as a force of nature who created sites of healing.
